Jane Windsperger, an immigrant farmer from Kenya, carries a lifelong passion for agriculture, deeply rooted in the farming traditions of her upbringing. In Mora, Minnesota, she continues her dream, cultivating not just crops, but a legacy of connection and sustenance.

When Jane arrived in Minnesota, she noticed a gap—the absence of culturally significant African produce that reminded her of home. Driven by a desire to nourish her family with familiar flavors, she began to grow her own. What started as a personal endeavor soon blossomed into GEDEF FARM, an authentic source of beloved African vegetables and leafy greens, feeding hearts and homes across the state.
